TechBar Rules

Exist is opening the doors of our TechBar (both Manila and Cebu) to user groups interested in holding their meetups -- for FREE.

techbar TechBar in i1 Bldg., Asiatown IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City

All you need to do is send an email to Ida Ortiz <ida@exist.com> with the following details:

  • Event Title
  • Event Description
  • Target Date and Time
  • Estimated Number of Attendees
  • Speakers and Topics, if any
  • About the Organization
  • Related Links

IMPORTANT: We require a month's notice prior to your target event date. Please include your contact details (landline/mobile).

Once approved, you will be sent a registration sheet which your attendees need to fill out; submit a soft copy at least two days before the event so the building or establishment admin will be notified. For the TechBar in Manila, those who will register late or walk in will have to manually log their entry at the lobby (and then write their contact info and sign on a printout of the registration sheet).

Kindly observe cleanliness in the TechBar, should you bring food/drinks (there's a water dispenser available). Note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed, unless there is an approved formal request. The password for our Wi-Fi access will be given on the day itself. If you wish to live stream your event, please notify us in advance so we could set up the iMac.

TechBar Manila maximum capacity: 45 (including the use of bean bags). The ideal is 25, if you're bringing laptops. For Cebu, the TechBar can seat up to 25 also.

Feel free to leave your comments or questions below. Thank you.

The Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. is very grateful to Exist Global for letting us use TechBar Cebu for the CBSi General Assembly last April 30 and for the Group Development Sessions.

TechBar is the prime rendezvous for tech conventions, bloggers meet-ups and other IT-related gatherings in Cebu.

Thanks Exist!

If it is a recruiting method - then good for them. They are offering value (dedicated space) in return for some word of mouth advertising.

Companies should be held to a standard that keeps people happy and well paid for their skill - in business if you get lazy and take things for granted - your competition will eat you. :)

Orlee, it's for Saturdays lang naman. You can always schedule your meetups on weeknights. Our utility guys have to go on OT pa kasi kapag weekends and of course, we pay for electricity, net connection, etc. That's why we're not accepting reservations for Sundays na rin... :)

IMPT: We are not opening the TechBar in Cebu for events as it has been converted into an office of Morphlabs. For the TechBar in Manila, whole day events are only allowed within the carpeted area (so that's suitable for 20 people with laptops, 25 without). Thanks.
